The usual required duty is 5 ppb as residual oxygen content.<\/p>\n<p>The Thermal deaeration process involves the reaching of the saturation condition of the water to reduce the partial pressure of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swsonweb.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/THERMAL-DEAERATION-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-490\" title=\"THERMAL-DEAERATION \" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.swsonweb.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/THERMAL-DEAERATION-2-295x300.jpg\" width=\"295\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.swsonweb.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/THERMAL-DEAERATION-2-295x300.jpg 295w, https:\/\/www.swsonweb.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/THERMAL-DEAERATION-2.jpg 561w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 295px) 100vw, 295px\" \/><\/a>dissolved gases: under this condition the gas content in a saturated liquid is zero, the gases tendency is therefore leaving the liquid phase, crossing the liquid-vapor interface and migrate to the vapor phase.<\/p>\n<p>Saturated conditions may be realized either in pressure or under vacuum. On this basis the deaerators can be divided into the following process families:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Thermal deaerators operating at the saturated conditions either atmospheric or under pressure with steam inlet<\/li>\n<li>Vacuum deaerators, operating under vacuum without steam inlet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The process kinetics is then an important factor since the resident time must be set adequate to
